About the Dallas Minecraft World

Dallas rewards a careful frame. Downtown is compact — a dense square of towers inside the Woodall Rodgers, I-35E and I-30 loop, with the 280 m Bank of America Plaza and Reunion Tower's lit ball marking its two ends — and the neighbourhoods around it each have a different texture: the Arts District's museums and the park decked over the freeway on the north, Deep Ellum's low brick warehouses and murals on the east, the Trinity River's wide empty floodway on the west with the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge's white arch across it. The downtown street grid runs at an angle to the rest of the city, which makes the core easy to spot from above.

What's Included in the Dallas World

Reunion Tower

A 171 m tower topped by a geodesic ball at the west edge of downtown, next to Union Station and the Hyatt. The ball generates as a sphere of blocks on a slim column, and it is the thing that says "Dallas" on the skyline.

Dealey Plaza

The small triangular park where Elm, Main and Commerce converge under the railway bridge, with the Texas School Book Depository on its north side. Small on the map but unmistakable once you know the shape.

Fair Park

277 acres of Art Deco exhibition halls from the 1936 Texas Centennial, 3 km east of downtown: the Hall of State, the Cotton Bowl's oval and the lagoon. The grounds generate as a formal campus with a stadium in the middle.

Bishop Arts District

A cluster of 1920s one- and two-storey shopfronts in Oak Cliff, across the Trinity to the southwest. Low-rise, walkable, and a good contrast to the towers in the same world.

Plus all streets, buildings, parks, and terrain elevation from OpenStreetMap data — faithfully converted to Minecraft blocks. Available for both Java and Bedrock Edition.

Recommended Selection for Dallas

The opening Large frame on downtown holds the whole core plus Deep Ellum, the Arts District and Klyde Warren Park. Move it to the Fair Park pick for the Deco halls and the Cotton Bowl, or to Bishop Arts for Oak Cliff and the Trinity floodway with the Hunt Hill Bridge.
