Refund Policy
Last updated:
We want every world to be one you’re happy with. If something’s wrong, tell us and we’ll make it right.
- If your world won’t open or is badly wrong, we’ll rebuild it. If that doesn’t fix it, we’ll refund you in full.
- If you were charged twice for the same world, we refund the extra charge in full.
- You can cancel Pro any time. It keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- To ask for a refund, use our contact page. The money goes back to the card or wallet you paid with.
One-time worlds
If your world doesn’t work
If your world won’t open in Minecraft, is corrupted, or is very different from the preview you paid for (for example, a big part of the area is missing because the build went wrong), tell us within 30 days of buying it. We’ll rebuild it first, which fixes most problems. If a rebuild doesn’t fix it, we’ll refund you in full.
Before you write, check that you have the right edition (a Java .zip or a Bedrock .mcworld) and a recent enough Minecraft (Java 1.21.4 or newer, Bedrock 1.21 or newer). Our import guide covers the common snags. If you bought the wrong edition, tell us and we’ll build you the other one for free.
If your world never arrives
Some worlds, such as XL worlds and worlds paid for through a parent link, are built after payment and emailed when they’re ready. If yours hasn’t arrived within a day, check your spam folder, then contact us. If we can’t deliver it, we’ll refund you in full.
If you were charged twice
If you paid more than once for the same world, we refund every extra charge in full. Please tell us if you spot one.
If it was bought by mistake
If a child bought a world without permission, or you picked the wrong area, contact us within 14 days. If the world hasn’t been downloaded, we’ll refund it. If it has, we’ll usually build the area you meant instead.
What isn’t covered
Worlds are generated from OpenStreetMap data, so they show what’s on the map, not every detail of the real place. Missing small buildings, simplified shapes, estimated heights and made-up interiors are part of how the product works. You see the preview before you pay, so these aren’t a reason for a refund on their own. If the map is thin where you live, you can improve it: OpenStreetMap is free for anyone to edit.
If you download a world that works and then change your mind, we don’t normally refund it, because a downloaded file can’t be returned.
Pro subscriptions
- Cancel any time from the billing portal on your account page. Pro keeps working until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
- No refunds for partial periods. If you cancel partway through a month or year, we don’t refund the rest of it, unless the law requires us to.
- Forgot to cancel? If your plan renewed and you haven’t used Pro since, contact us within 7 days of a monthly renewal or 14 days of an annual one, and we’ll refund that renewal. This is once per subscriber.
- If Pro doesn’t work for you because of a problem on our side that we can’t fix, we’ll refund the current period.
How to ask for a refund
- Use our contact form and choose “Refund or order problem”, or reply to your receipt or download email.
- Tell us the email address you paid with and what went wrong. If you have the download link or the date you paid, include that too.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Your bank usually takes 5 to 10 business days to show it.
Charges appear on card statements as “BFI LLC”. If you don’t recognise one, it may be a world someone in your family bought. Please contact us before disputing it with your bank. It’s usually much faster.
Your legal rights
This policy adds to your rights under consumer law. It doesn’t replace them. If the law where you live gives you more, for example consumer rights in the EU or the UK, you get those too. See also our Terms of Service.
