Creator Q&A

Can I monetize videos and streams using these worlds?
Yes. The underlying map data is OpenStreetMap, which is open and freely usable for commercial work. You own any content you make — no revenue share, no license, no attribution required (though a shout-out is always appreciated).
Do I need to credit Map2Minecraft in the video?
No, it's not required. Most creators do it anyway because the 'how did you make this?' question is the #1 comment on these videos, and a link in the description saves you from answering it fifty times.
Is there anything copyright-sensitive in the worlds?
The map data itself is open. Building footprints and street layouts are facts, not IP. Business names, signage, and branding aren't in the world — OSM doesn't ship them to us, so they don't render. You're safe.
How fast can I get a world? I'm on a deadline.
Small to medium worlds generate in 1–3 minutes. Large cities take 5–10. The 3D preview loads immediately after generation, so you can screen-record or capture from that even before downloading.
Are the worlds shareable for collab streams?
Yes. The file is a standard Minecraft world — drop it on a Realms server or share the file directly with your collab. Works the same as any other custom world.
What about Minecraft EULA for commercial use?
Mojang's commercial guidelines already allow monetized Let's Plays, tutorials, and content on monetized channels/streams. Custom worlds from third parties don't change that — you're playing Minecraft with a custom save.
