About the Omaha Minecraft World
Omaha's downtown sits on the Missouri River floodplain with the city climbing west onto rolling loess hills behind it, and the riverfront was rebuilt in 2022 as a chain of parks: the Gene Leahy Mall's lawns and water running down from the old Union Pacific blocks, the Heartland of America Park's lake and Lewis & Clark Landing on the river, with the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge's 914 m cable-stayed span curving across to Council Bluffs, Iowa. The Old Market's brick warehouses and cobblestones are two blocks south; the College World Series ballpark and the arena are just north. Three kilometres south, the Henry Doorly Zoo's Desert Dome — the world's largest indoor desert under a 13-storey glazed geodesic dome — is the most distinctive single building in Nebraska. Dundee, the 1880s streetcar suburb on Dodge Street, is 5 km west on the hills.

Old Market
The 1880s–1900s warehouse district south of Farnam Street — Howard Street's cobbles, the covered Passageway, galleries and restaurants in brick buildings with iron canopies.
Henry Doorly Zoo
The zoo 3.5 km south on 10th Street: the Desert Dome, the Lied Jungle's long roof, the aquarium and the African Grasslands — a campus of large distinct structures that stands out from above.
Gene Leahy Mall
The downtown park reopened in 2022: lawns, a stream and the slides, running from 14th Street to the Heartland of America Park and the river, with the Union Pacific Center and the Holland Center beside it.
Dundee
The streetcar suburb on Dodge Street 5 km west — early-1900s houses on the hills, the Dundee business district and Memorial Park's lawn, with Happy Hollow Boulevard winding through.
