About the Cincinnati Minecraft World

Cincinnati is a basin city: downtown sits in a bowl on the Ohio River with hills rising on three sides, and the generated world has the shape of that bowl. Fountain Square and the 175 m Art Deco Carew Tower are at the centre; the Banks, Great American Ball Park, the football stadium and Smale Riverfront Park line the river, with John Roebling's 1866 suspension bridge — the prototype for his Brooklyn Bridge — crossing to Covington, Kentucky. North of downtown, Over-the-Rhine holds one of the largest intact districts of 19th-century Italianate architecture in the country, with Findlay Market, Music Hall and Washington Park at its heart; Mount Adams rises steeply to the east with Eden Park on its shoulder; Union Terminal's 1933 half-dome stands west in Queensgate. The zoo and the university are on the hills 5 km north.

What's Included in the Cincinnati World

Fountain Square

The city's centre: the Tyler Davidson Fountain's Genius of Water, the Carew Tower and the Great American Tower's tiara around it, three blocks up from the river.

Over-the-Rhine

The 19th-century German district north of Central Parkway — Vine Street, Findlay Market's 1852 iron hall, Music Hall's Venetian Gothic front and Washington Park — block after block of three- and four-storey Italianate brick.

Cincinnati Zoo

The second-oldest zoo in the country (1875), 5 km north in Avondale beside the University of Cincinnati's campus, on the hilltop above the basin.

Union Terminal

The 1933 Art Deco station with its 54 m half-dome front and fountain, 2.5 km west in Queensgate — the building the Hall of Justice was drawn from, now the Museum Center.

Plus all streets, buildings, parks, and terrain elevation from OpenStreetMap data — faithfully converted to Minecraft blocks. Available for both Java and Bedrock Edition.
