About the Baltimore Minecraft World

Baltimore is rowhouses and water. The Inner Harbor at the bottom of downtown is ringed by the National Aquarium's glass pyramid, the Harborplace pavilions, the USS Constellation and Federal Hill's green bluff; from there the city spreads in a dense grid of two- and three-storey brick rowhouses with marble steps — Fells Point's 18th-century waterfront streets paved in Belgian block to the east, Federal Hill and Locust Point to the south, Canton and Patterson Park beyond. Camden Yards' ballpark sits against the 335 m B&O Warehouse, the longest building on the East Coast, a few blocks west of the harbor, and Fort McHenry's star-shaped fort holds the point where the harbor meets the Patapsco. North up Charles Street, Mount Vernon Place's Washington Monument and Johns Hopkins' red-brick Homewood campus are the city's other two set pieces.

What's Included in the Baltimore World

Inner Harbor

The harbor basin at the foot of downtown — the Aquarium's pyramid, the Constellation, the Science Center, the World Trade Center's pentagon and the promenade around the water — with Federal Hill rising on its south side.

Fells Point

The 1760s waterfront village 2 km east: Thames Street along the piers, Broadway Market, Belgian-block streets and the tightest rowhouse grid in the city.

Fort McHenry

The 1800 star fort on Locust Point, 4 km southeast, where the harbor opens into the Patapsco — the fort whose 1814 defence produced the national anthem. A five-pointed star of earthworks generates as exactly that.

Johns Hopkins University

The Homewood campus 4.5 km north on Charles Street: Gilman Hall's clock tower, the red-brick Georgian quads, the Baltimore Museum of Art next door and Wyman Park's dell.

Plus all streets, buildings, parks, and terrain elevation from OpenStreetMap data — faithfully converted to Minecraft blocks. Available for both Java and Bedrock Edition.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the Baltimore Minecraft world?
The Baltimore world includes all buildings, roads, parks, and terrain elevation from OpenStreetMap data. Key landmarks like Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Fort McHenry are faithfully recreated block by block.
How do I import the world into Minecraft?
For Java Edition, extract the zip and copy the world folder to your .minecraft/saves/ directory. For Bedrock Edition, double-click the .mcworld file to import automatically.
Do I need any mods to play?
No mods required. The world works with vanilla Minecraft, both Java and Bedrock Edition.
Do the rowhouses come out as rows?
Yes — OpenStreetMap has Baltimore's rowhouses as individual footprints, so blocks generate as continuous terraces of narrow two- and three-storey houses, which is the city's real texture. Interiors are generated, not surveyed.
