About the Pittsburgh Minecraft World

Pittsburgh may be the most dramatic terrain of any American city you can generate. Downtown is a triangle of towers — PPG Place's glass castle, the 256 m U.S. Steel Tower — wedged onto the point where the Allegheny and the Monongahela meet to form the Ohio, with Point State Park's 46 m fountain at the tip; across the Allegheny the three identical yellow Sisters bridges lead to PNC Park and the football stadium on the North Shore; across the Monongahela, Mount Washington's slope rises 120 m almost straight up from the riverbank, climbed by the two surviving inclines, with Grandview Avenue's overlooks along the top. The city has 446 bridges, more than Venice. Five kilometres east in Oakland, the University of Pittsburgh's 163 m Gothic Cathedral of Learning stands above the Carnegie museums, Schenley Park and Phipps Conservatory.

What's Included in the Pittsburgh World

Point State Park

The park at the tip of the Golden Triangle where the two rivers meet, with the fountain, the Fort Pitt Blockhouse and the Fort Pitt and Fort Duquesne bridges springing from either side.

PNC Park

The Pirates' ballpark on the North Shore across the Allegheny, with the Roberto Clemente Bridge leading straight to it, the Andy Warhol Museum behind and Acrisure Stadium downstream.

Mount Washington

The 120 m bluff on the Monongahela's south bank opposite downtown: Grandview Avenue's overlooks, the Duquesne and Monongahela inclines' tracks and Station Square's old railway terminal at the foot.

Cathedral of Learning

The University of Pittsburgh's 42-storey Gothic tower in Oakland, 4 km east, with the Carnegie Museums, Carnegie Mellon's campus, Schenley Park and Phipps Conservatory's glasshouses around it.

Plus all streets, buildings, parks, and terrain elevation from OpenStreetMap data — faithfully converted to Minecraft blocks. Available for both Java and Bedrock Edition.
